There should be two... Looks like the remains of one of the two air guides that vent air upwards.... If they are gone I would highly recommend replacing them.

+1 I think mine car has the same problem.

They are rear brake cooling scoop. It scoops air to the L shaped duct sitting above the skid plate.
I lost one and you can order it from dealer. I think it is around $25 each.

I can't tell from the picture if it is in the front or rear. If it's the front, the part numbers are:

left side: 996 504 603 00
right side: 996 504 604 00

Here we go again, at least two or three times a year we get this question.
986 331 361 03 is the part number for the brake edge spoiler. The car has two of them. It is hard to find in the parts diagrams because they don't show a picture of it. It is just listed as part of the bracket that it mounts on.

Thanks Spinnaker. IIRC, each piece has two grommets to attach it to the pan 999 507 774 40 and 999 507 775 40.

Went through this last year. Here's a link to a discussion where I posted pics of the parts in their bags with the pn# printed on them. I think Spinnaker helped me on this also.

My front air guides underneath the radiators are cracked and need replacing. It's made up of two pieces attached perpendicular to each other.

Part numbers for the cracked piece in the pic below are 996.504.504.00 (right front) and 996.504.503.00 (left front).

The perpendicular piece part numbers were provided by thom7482 - 996.504.603.00 (left) and 996.504.604.00 (right).

A couple of months after purchase, I took it back to the dealer and talked them into putting it on the lift so I could at least get a glimpse of my engine . . .

They said I wouldn't see much, and boy, where they right!

Haven't done it myself, but the catalog describes the two fasteners as push buttons. Sounds like they attach like the fender liners. If so, then it should be easy to replace so long as you raise the back of the car safely to gain access.

I had to push them together really hard. You'll feel them kind of seat into place. I ended up using a small pair of channel-lock pliers to finally get them to snap.

I always say that Porsche gauges and clocks are soo accurate, they use a time and date sensor that detects the time & date as you drive so it is always perfect. Much more accurate than cars with clocks that only break down the time to the nearest time zone.
