Omg!

I just got my 2003 S out of storage and drove for around 40 miles. Wow, I forgot how much fun it is:dance:! I bought it at the end of November, drove it for 2 days, and stuck it in a storage unit for 2 months. I feel so much better now! I hadn't even revved it above 4,500 RPMs before. Boy, it howls between 5-6,000 RPMs! And by the way, I had removed the battery since the storage unit had no electricity to keep it charged. Absolutely no issues (except for resetting the clock). Windows work fine, computer seems happy, even the pre-set radio channels were still there. Luckily no damn radio code to deal with on the 2003. I'll keep it covered at home for the few warm, dry days from now until spring arrives.

I am so envious! Mine doesn't come out of winter storage until late April...

"Winter"? "Storage"?

What are these words you speak?

Maybe, but I bet you don't have 2 great downhill ski areas and 40 or so miles of groomed cross country ski trails within 10 miles of your house (not to mention nearly unlimited backcountry skiing). We have some amazing, nearly traffic-free mountain roads for 8 months each year, no traffic jams (no freeways in fact), and no air pollution, so don't feel too sorry for us mountain residents !

This is the second "winter" I've owned this car. I put winter in quotes because last year's winter in Chicago meant storing it for a couple weeks, then putting the top down and cruising for a few days, then storing for a week or so and repeat. So last year didn't really count. This year is killing me. C'mon global warming!

All these hybrid vehicles coming out, to help the earth's ever changing climate..
I'm all for global warming if it means I get to drive my car year round! And for the Prius lovers, GOOD GO BUY MORE PRIUS' MY RUF NEEDS YOUR SHARE OF THE FUEL SUPPLY.

We have snow here too within a beautiful 3 hour drive through the mountains with plenty of ski resorts.

Us Kaliforinans can surf and ski all in one day.

I stored my car for the couples weeks of winter that we had, gave me a good opportunity to do a little detailing.

I think I'm doing that fuel savings not for climate. Not to the extreme of prius but I have a camry hybrid..
Really miss my boxster, it would be pretty extreme to switch from a slow and dead steering of camry to boxster back in 2-3 months....
