Body Kits

Has anyone used the "Duraflex" body kits? Looking or reviews and/or recommendations on body kits.

I was looking at a GT-2 front bumper cover and side skirts. Dressing the old girl up a bit, but not going crazy.

Specifically this one:

Look at this on eBay:

PORSCHE 986 BOXSTER GT STYLE FRONT BUMPER FITS 1997-2004 MODELS BODY KIT

http://bit.ly/1176q2Q

I haven't found that anywhere else. It's like a TA EVO style, but without that abhorrent nose grill I hate so much. It's perfect

There are several aftermarket companies that knock-off the T/A style bumper. Precision Porsche or NR Auto are just a couple.

The grill is optional.

Don't mean to bring up a dead thread, but will the third radiator fit in that small vent? Without the nose grill I mean.

It's a moot point. I was talking to Joel Bowman from GT3Tek/Better Bodies Motorsports... and he said the front bumper was discontinued!!!

That's the grill that I hate.

The new style bumper looks like this:

and it ONLY comes with the grill. Sigh.

To be fair, it looks A LOT better, but I'd still rather have it sleek and clean.

Someone who was a lot of experience working with FRP could easily fill in that vent.

Those bumpers are made of polyurethane, which I think is more desired...
I wonder how hard it would be to fill in that nose grill.

GT3Tek also quoted me a good deal on sideeskirts. If I go with them, I save $500 in the end. All that matters is whether or not I can fill in that stupid hood vent/nose grill. The less money I spend here, the more money I can save for other things. Sigh, decisions decisions.

I've called and verified with SouthFloridaDismantler (the ebay one). They can make me a fiberglass non-vent for $1200. Or I could go with a polyurethane (better) for $1300 which includes side skirts (but has the vent).

If it costs less than $500 to fill in that nose vent and to do it RIGHT, I'd be totally for it. Polyurethane is awesome.

Just remember, polyurethane is awesome when it fits correctly ! When it doesn't - you're SOL ! Anyway, personally I'd leave the bumper alone and live with the vent. Over time you'll probably grow to like it.

Noo! I don't think you understand the magnitude of my dislike for that stupid vent. It looks COMPLETELY different than the clean, sleek look I want

I'm going to call some body shops tomorrow and see if they can fill in and modify polyurethane
