After doing a lot of reading on the web I elected to go with a stock 997 unit. I figured I will start out there and work my way up if I am not happy with it. I was looking for smooth shifting over a short shift. From all my reads, the 997 shifter will do this.

On a side note, I have exchanged several emails with Dan at Numeric Racing. What a nice guy. Not a salesman, an engineer with a passion. Neat guy. The reviews of his shifter are over the top. The ones that have bought them, love them. A lot of high end Porsche owners have installed them.
