2001 Boxster S Bumper

Hi all,

I am new to the forum and have had a good look around and see there is lots of info and experience out there which is great to know.
This is my first Porsche and am loving being an owner. Well, until my better half drove into a kerb the other day, taking out the central radiator and trashing the front bumper cover. Radiator is on route, however have an issue with the bumper.
I am finding it difficult to find a second hand 996 2001 bumper and therefore my question is, would I be able to fit a post 2001 bumper onto my car? There seems to be loads around?
Many thanks in advance
Carl

No. Your only choices are a 1999 to 2001 996 bumper or a 1997 to 2004 Boxster bumper. Or if you have an S, 2000 to 2004 Boxster S bumper. (See... all in one post )

+1. One way to tell is to look at the headlight cutouts on the bumper. The 2001 is square-ish while the later years are oval cutouts.
