salesman knowledge

going through lots of your queries about wheels, and general issues when getting or upgrading cars it seems that lots of you take for granted what your salesman tells you, do not forget that a salesman is there for..... selling!
my belief is that if you need a mechanical query ask a mechanic or a competent porsche specialist, we have some very good people on this site with years of porsche knowledge and experience.
my point: Don't listen too much to your salesman!
let me know what you think and if someone was (done) by a greedy salesman.
