Hard to shift 6 sp. 2001 s

Id like the thoughts of the experts out there on dealing with a 2001 s 6sp that is hard to shift when cold. Especially 1 to 2nd. And 2 to 3 rd gear shifts are Tough to make when the engine is cold. After a short ( 5 min) warm up the aforementioned shifts get pretty resistance free and the 3-4 4-5 and 5- 6 th are easy. I usually double clutch the downshifts and have no trouble.
The trans fluid has just been changed without any noticeable difference.
My questions: what would you do next ? Any danger to just observing the situation for increasing symptoms? .? Mostmlikely cause?

When you changed the fluid, did you use Porsche fluid? Many non P fluids cause your symptoms.

What Transmission fluid are you using...?
I've heard of some issues with certain brands...I would stick to the Porsche recommended Fluid.. I've also had good luck with Fuchs Titan and Royal Purple

I have the same car and mine does the same thing. I drive about 1/2 mile out of my development in second gear and it shifts fine after that.

Its part of cold weather driving. My mustang and xterra manuals were the same. Mustang into 2nd was always a struggle when cold. I have gotten into the habbit of running through the gears just before moving. Back and forth 1st & 2nd 5-6 times. Same for 3rd & 4th, until they shift somewhat smoothly. I think the treads regarding the Trans fluid certainly have to play a major role. We all need to warm up a bit in the Winter cold before we can go all out
