I know that this is an old thread, but it was helpful to me.
I accessed the top of the tank as described by Milliemax. But I found an even easier way. I have a little 12 volt fuel pump the kind you get from Autozone for $15.00. There are two hoses on the drivers side of the car that attach to the lid. If you remove the hose towards the front of the car, you can slip on a length of 1/4 fuel line and connect it to a 12V fuel pump and empty the tank that way. It took me about 20 minutes to pump out 8 gallons of fuel, but was real simple, and no need to break the seal on the lid. I had my fire extinguisher just in case, and used a jump starting box with a power switch to power the pump. Hope this helps someone. Scott |
