Seat belt buckle - can I replace myself??

Hi all,

The airbag light is on so I was told I need to replace both seat belt buckles and then have the light turned off. Is it a hard job to replace the buckles myself? Do I need to remove the seats? Is there any electrical work involved?

Thanks.

You can replace the seat belt buckles with your eyes closed if you have the tools (torx head sockets) and you will need either a Durametric tool or stop by the dealer to have the light reset.

Electrical is only going to be the buckle locking mechanism (which has wiring for the airbag engagement) and that is nothing but a plug under your seat.
