yes - I am. We have discussed over 45,657 times I am sure but I have a question. On jacking the car - I looked at Pelican and saw what they say to do..use the reinforced area of the chasis. This part seems to be weak? Like it is not steel? Does anyone else use this point?

Maybe it is the coating I am feeling...I knocked on it and just didnt sound like a solid surface so I am assuming the black coating is making it seem that way...hence wy everyone says to make sure you have a hockey puck or something to lessen the blow.

You got it right there.
I use a large plastic jack pad I got from Harbor Freight.

Same here (harbor freight). They're thick plastic, red and about $10 for two.

The "racing" jacks from HF have a built in rubber pad.

I support the car there too, I just use a piece of flat wood to spread the load since I wasn't sure exactly where it was solid and not.
