Transmission bolt missing....hmmmm

1997 Boxster base- 22,000+ miles (No maintenance history)

I was spending some quality time with my Boxster today- changed the plugs and re-torqued any bolt I could get to under the car.

I decided to remove the aluminum plate and braces to clean them and get a better look at the transmission to change the fluid/oil tomorrow. I noticed some stray holes in the trans and one that clearly needed a bolt. In the attached picture I am missing "G" all other bolts are in place and tight (thank goodness)

So this tells me:

1. Someone has probably removed my transmission in the past....not a bad thing.
2. The Germans had a bolt shortage sometime in 97.

Has anyone run into this on their box?
