Best Wax

I was looking for a really high quality wax to get in an around license plate area, so I decided to pick up a container of this stuff. I have to say it did a pretty good job. In fact, I got results that were on par with my old standby - Rally.

The $37,000 ?Definitive Wax Marble? is the world?s most expensive car wax

Pffft...... you come up with some beaut ideas Danger - are you off the meds again??

Can't beat good 'ol Lughole Wax for that special finish. It takes a long time to harvest, but the results speak for themselves, especially if you live in a warm / hot climate!

Very popular here in Oz, helps keep flies away from the dunny too.....

Personally i've been using Liquid Glass Polish and Finish for the last 25 years - although never tried to see if it would keep the flies away from the crapper - hahahahaha

I picked up a new air freshener as well .

An extra $5,000 for an in-car perfume atomizer!

You need more than three, then you can have what my brother on the job calls "the felony forest" or "rolling pile of probable cause".

I used Liquid Glass a few years ago and the finish is truly spectacular. I stopped using it because it also turns the car into the biggest dust magnet you ever saw. It's like it gives the car an electrostatic charge which unfortunately attracts rather than repels dust particles. Has this been your experience also?

I use a microfiber cloth to remove the wax and dont find it attracts dust too badly at all.
Mind you if i use the polisher with the wool pad on the front the entire car is like a static
dust magnet (doesnt seem to matter what wax i use).
I use Liquid Glass on my daily driver and with the amount of salt they use on the roads up
our way here in the winter, I havent found anything that lasts better through the winter.

I also found that Liquid Glass was a dust magnet..
Liquid Glass was like putting a nice clear coat on the car..

I now use SCG Barrier Reef Carnuba Liquid Wax

Surf City Garage has some nice stuff. I use their tire dressing. Nice dark matter finish.

Advanced Auto Parts now stocks Griot's on the shelf. No need to pay for maill order.
And they recently had a 33% sale. Just got another for 15% for October. That makes it a win win. No shipping and you get sales tax waved essentially.

I'm using Griots sealant. This is the first time I ever really bothered with a sealant. Usually my car is garage kept and I detail it regularly so the extra protection is overkill. But now my car is parked outdoors much more often so I gave teh Griots a shot. Pretty good, covers up some swirling and leaves a typically nice shine. I applied it in the evening and removed it early the next morning. I give it a once over with the Griots Carnauba Wax spray which I picked up by the gallon during the last sale. Works out to about $6 a spray bottle for a first rate brand. The typical over the counter brands are nearly $18 for one of their spray bottles.

p.s.
For warding off dust try Finish Kare 425 spray from autogeek.net. Leaves a teflon like coating. They call it anti-static polymer spray. A must have for dark colored cars especially.
