No way could that be genuine - the piston(s) would need to be 200mm long to push the pads that deep......
And the pads would need to be made of hardend cobalt steel too!

I'm sure it's real. My local parts store has one just like it hanging on the wall. IIRC it was from a truck of some sort.

My 2 cents says its fake. I can see the machining marks on the vanes and there is no ridge next to the hub where the pads don't touch. I used to be a tool and pattern maker, so I know what machining marks look like. If it were real, the pads would be grated off in a couple off brake applications if the pistons didn't pop out of the calipers first. There would be pad material everywhere. Someone with a brake lathe is having a good time posting this for a laugh.

Those are pretty smooth cuts, but you can see 2 deeper areas where the pad rivets line up.

I agree - fake. Why would the rotor be worn between the pad and the hub? The pad doesn't make contact there.

Humorous nonetheless.
