Genuine RUF RG5 light weight alloy wheels 19inch

Just bought these and was wondering what is the weight per wheel? Also will there be a noticeable performance difference from my 18 turbo twists?

I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but it would have been up to YOU, as the purchaser, to discover what the weights are BEFORE buying them. Ruf has a great reputation for performance, but their wheels may be sub-contracted to a manufacturer who only makes heavy wheels...someone like TSW.

Typically, larger wheels equal MORE weight, and increasing your unsprung weight may actually HURT handling performance. If you are not careful with you selection, you could end up with larger-diameter tires, and THAT will definitely make your car accelerate slower. For sure, the ride on 19-in tires is going to be somewhat harsher than on 18-in, due to the shorter sidewall height.

i didnt pay for anything yet. im waiting for the seller to get back to me with the actual weight of each rim.

i cant find anywhere online what the actual specs should be for this type of "light weight" ruf wheel.

as a performance company you'd think their goal was to make an actual light rim to enhance performance. So even though its one inch bigger then my turbo twists id think in total it should be lighter?

Like Auf los said, Ruf likely out sourced these wheels and simply put their name on them. Also, that design has been around for quite awhile . And, I suspect that they have been greatly surpassed in terms of weight and performance by numerous other brands .

I've been to Ruf's website, and they do NOT provide the weights of their wheels, which is usually a bad sign. If they were selling wheels that did improve performance (for example, very light forged wheels), the weight of the wheels would be a selling point.

Everyone (myself included) is always looking for aftermarket parts and accessories that provide a performance increase. The problem with modifying a Porsche is that Porsche makes performance cars of a high standard to begin with, so the tuner's job is that much harder.

19" RUF wheels are very heavy compared to a stock OEM rims. Make sure the wheel's part numbers match up to a real RUF wheels. Lots of fakes out there. If these wheels did not cost you over $4,000 they are also fakes for sure.

Try calling RAC Perf. in Texas, they may know the wheel weights. They are the former RUF specialists in the USA:

Not exactly. The Texas operation exited the business, and the Michigan facility picked it up. But, yes, that's the new USA location that started up about 2 years ago, IIRC.
