Why? You can't see it with the rear covers in place. Besides engine heat will eventually kill it...

Removed rear bumper cover... and the bumper bar to which the two bumperette blocks are attached.

Tried to drill it out the 6 rivets yesterday morning. Drill bits I had were insufficient, so I tabled that task until I could visit Harbor Fright. Then, early in the evening when light remained in the sky... I watched some "more" Youtube vids... and saw a guy manage out his rivets absent a drill. I grabbed a hammer and metal punch.

Had those rivets out in 2 whacks each. 2 minutes and 12 whacks.

This morning will reinstall the bumper bar (absent the bump mnetal pieces). Looking for a couple used license plate light housings (or will buy new)/

Yes, I'm doing the bumperette delete.

For car shows. I still have the original cover to use during drives if I want.
