Finished the suspension refresh today. Koni struts, top strut mounts, bump stops, front and rear track bars, lower control arms, inner and outer tie rod ends, front and rear sway bar bushings and rear trailing links. Took it for a spin and no more clunking or bumping. Feels much better now. Off to the alignment shop tomorrow.

Broke the emergency fuel door actuator cable... All caused by a blown fuse. $2.50 part, $6 shipping... FML.

That, Sir, is absolutely beautiful. I have scratches on my 2003 BS center console that this would look awesome on. Wish I had that kind of talent.

Finished installing the radiator screens and reinstalling the front bumper. Did the emergency frunk latch release hack so that I can access it from the tow hook opening. Also, replaced the D2S bulbs in the Litronic headlights.

Got the 996 Tune on my car and did a bunch of research to get the Instrument cluster to adapt to the 996 tune. Going further down the rabbit hole

I simply can't justify the IPD plenum at (literally) 10x the cost of a 997 plenum. The 997 plenum is also 74mm to go with the beefy throttle body; it just doesn't have the sexy aluminum body and the machining inside. I'm sure IPD's stuff is crazy good and superior to a stock 997 plenum but I figure that 1) it's bigger volume than what my 3.2 came with, and 2) at 10% of the cost of an IPD plenum, the 997 unit will be "good enough."
Mind if I inquire about the IPD intake tube? I have all the same plenum and throttle body you have but have not installed them yet. Interested in that IPD intake tube but didn't know you can get it by itself.

Replaced the entire suspension which I have been collecting parts for the last 6 months or so. New Bilstein's, M030 suspension springs and sway bars, all new control arms, track arms, tie rod ends, drop links...well anything I could think of that might have worn out since 2001 as it is all original as best I can tell. I didn't have the M030 before.

Rides like it's brand new!

That's one of the first things I did on my 98. It certainly adds "sport" to the interior compared to the cluncky, sedan looking 4-spoke.

For sale: 4 Spoke with Airbag.

Do you have a project/parts list you could share?

Cheers!

Su coast has the struts, springs and sway on sale. Still pricey but easy to source the M030 ROW suspension.

Nice work. Amazing what a suspension refresh can do!

Starter986 I had most of that on a notepad in my office which I haven't seen in 5 weeks or so. Doubt it is still there.

Yes, I just emailed them through their website and asked. It was spendy; I think it was about $175 or so but I figured it would be more reliable and only if little pricier than piecing together various silicone bits to cobble an intake pipe together.

Replaced the emergency fuel door actuator cable. What a pain in the ass! If it breaks again, I'm cutting the pin.

Two days late, but installed Phenix Engineering shifter bushings. Definitely removes even more slop on top of the 997 shifter.
