Sir. Crack whores spend far less money than you do. You've been buying so many parts I wouldn't be surprised A&E isn't close to contacting you for a Hoarders Special Edition: 986.
Lets see some pictures. Or, are you waiting for the big reveal?

Replaced all speakers
Went for all JBL speakers as there are made by Harman
JBL 5020 subs in the doors
JBL 4020 mids in the dash
JBL 3020 mids in the rear
Very happy with the sound :-)

Ordered FSI 3.8L Stage 1+ Performer engine
After a long discussion with Jake and Jud I contracted for a Stage 1+ Street Performer engine rebuild with the ‘Exclusive Service’ for my 550SE. Took the first available slot at Jake’s Georgia facility. I ship the car to him end July 2020 and I should have it back in Jan 2021.
In the interim, I just had the new Cocoa Sonnendeck top installed and I’m waiting on my new DCT steering wheel and Classic9 leather upholestery to arrive. Both are in Napa cocoa leather with silver stitching.
New PSS9s are in and will be installed next week.
I’d post pictures but I still cannot upload pics to any Pelican site without using Tapatalk and I’m just tired of Pelican’s refusal to address this issues for years now.

Oldcarguy, that is cool! Will the boxster's drivetrain support the swap without any upgrades? What kind of hp/torque are you looking from the upgrade?

Hi Ciao, because every build is different FSI doesn’t quote hp or torque gains in advance. We’ll have to wait for the dyno runs. Also, FSI is doing a custom 93 octane tune (included is their tuner which stores up to 5 tunes). They indicate that the custom tune will be more effective on my 550 SE due to the 987 intake parts and my Fabspeed mid pipes with the FVD Brombacher muffler. Probably minor improvements but worth the effort IMHO. So the dyno runs will reflect the sum of all parts.
The focus of the Stage 1+ engine is mid range torque more than hp. In any event, FSI says there is no problem with the stock 6 spd handling even their Stage 2 or race engines if the drivetrain is in good shape going in.

Thanks Oldcarguy. I believe the gains will be impressive and more cost effective in terms of buying HP for your current Porche than buying a new one. I hope the build is durable and longlasting. I've noticed typically factory specs w/out mods make for a long lasting engine 275K miles plus. But specing your engine from the bottom end up may be a better solution than just a tune or increasing intake/exhaust flows.

Hope you're well!

Got my rear suspension refresh all bolted back together. Brakes, tires and then alignment. But while it's all jacked up I'll change the oil.
Fun little project. I'll get around to my front suspension soon enough.
