Before the upgrade, etc., “fun” got to drive a 2016 GT4 yesterday. Wow! It was sooo tight like a race car. Instantly one with it except the ceramic brakes are incredibly sensitive. Just got 2002 Boxster s. Started Koni active system struts. Volgtland lowering springs. Short shift kit. Used spoiler. Fixed broken support under drivers seat. Hydraulic fluids. Sparks and coils. Blackstone analysis...hoping good results. Convertible cable. Trunk shocks. Floor mats. Badge and center cap. Still lots more but got it 82k miles $5500. Engine and tranny and body clean. Needing some luck!!.

Drove 3 hours yesterday. Been about a month+ since I last drove it and that was in the salt beds of NJ. She just runs, really well. Sadly less and less drive time.

Emerald: I believe the GT4 is basically a race car and that thing will spoil you. Nice work on the Box and keeping it on the road.. You don't need luck, just faith that the folks in Finland had a good day when your Box came down the line.

Best of luck

I hit a nice mileage number on my way home from work yesterday. I've got almost 300 of my 1,500 break-in miles in already. (I don't usually snap pictures while driving.)

Left Turn Signal

Going home from work, I drove for 7 miles with my left turn signal on. Got on the on-ramp signaling left, onto the highway screaming to 80mph and then proceeded to pass 10-12 cars, when I stopped at the light I looked down and saw the green light blinking. Laughed at myself and finally turned it off.

BTDT.....multiple times! The vaunted German engineers could have equipped the directionals with a louder sound or more visible indicator.....especially in a convertible

Rear Drop Links installed. Seller gave me pair of Porsche rotors and parking brake shoes. Wayne (101 projects) was right; there will be cursing. Installing the shoes are a PITA.

Thanks, if I do it I will go without the flat bottom and go to Chuck W's place in Poland. I always used to think the wheel in my Boxster was fine. Being without it for 8 months and driving a BMW with the M-Sport steering wheel which is super thick has started me thinking about this.

Found that my rear spoiler only moved up about an inch. Searching the forum I found the probable cause, disassembled the "system" and got lucky. Having anticipated a lack of teeth on the two gear racks, it was nice to see only a lack of grease - it had all been squeezed to the sides of each rack. After re-lubing the racks and the cable end internal slides (the grease on the slides was gritty).everything operates smoothly again. Really easy job.

I often wondered if the rear spoiler needed some kind of maintenance.

Winter Rabbit dropped a rear brake pad so the box comes out early. Drove a kid to gymnastics with it and possibly to work tomorrow.
Forgot how drastic an alignment I had put on her. Time to start thinking about adjustable rear toe arms to bring some balance back.

I’m wondering if i can take the relay out of my 2004 Audi A4 that flashes 3 times when it is nudged and put it in the Boxster. That should fix this issue.

Anyone have a fix for this?
