Finally got the Green Hornet up in the air
Wheels off to inspect the brakes and stuff.
First did front/back side lifts, but then needed it a bit higher to get under the engine. Tried the center front/back points, and they are much more convenient. I found I had to let the rear end down before the front, but still hit the handle.
Not too crazy about the V-Tops, but they're all I have. Fit my Golf fine.
Under the car, found the Underbody Lining had pieces busted off.
For $200 I'll use liquid duct tape instead.
I hate rattles (who doesn't?). I think this thing was flopping around. Also, the handbrake cables were bouncing off the trailing arms - I think that's something I was hearing, so I tie-wrapped them up just a little.
Cleaned the lug bolts on the wire wheel.
I'm not sure how often I'll need to get under the car with it level (can you do oil change with just the rear end up?) but Liftbar may be in my future.
Durametric arrived today

I took advantage of Sunset's 20% off site wide coupon and bought more Porsche parts than I should have. I have never seen a Porsche part supplier have a sale like this before. I didn't pull the trigger on new suspension, but I did buy the switches I need for some modifications I have planned (radiator fan, OBC lighted switch, targa for garage control).
Happy Thanksgiving Everyone!

I went to put my top down to throw the hardtop on for storage, and put a HUGE crack in it.
So I pulled the softtop all the way out, and I'll deal with it in the spring.

Cool! But can you post a smaller pic? It’s killing the overall thread view-wise.

Do you know what the outside temperature was when it cracked? Most people advise not putting the plastic window up/down below 70° F, but I am curious if it cracked at a warmer temp?

I noticed your extension cord. Not good! Try this tip. It's a better way.

Yes, you can do an oil change with just the back raised. From experience with my 1999 Boxster.

Thanks to a fellow forum member, found and bought a hardtop in perfect condition, 35min from my house!
It’s Arctic Silver instead of my GT Metallic Silver, but good enough for now. Will probably repaint next summer.
