What did you do with/to your Boxster today?

Thanks Kas, figures it was fibreglass and there’s a first time for everything. Maybe get a kit and have a play some day.

Dghii - really pleased with them. Maybe I’m imagining it but I think they’ve improved the ride. Speedo reads 2kph higher than gps. I think I’ll plasti dip the spokes grey and leave the outside of rims as they are over the winter to see how that looks.

20mm spacers and extended bolts and that will fill out those wheel wells nicely. H/R has the best (anodized) but several out there. Great color combo!

Looks good in white with matching wheels and hoops. Would look even better if you went with some wheel spacers. 20mm with extended bolts. Car will handle better too because track is then wider. Great looking car!

Yesterday I bent my right front wheel on the front edge of a rumble strip at VIR, so that is the end of my 3 day HPDE. At least I got the full first day in and that's all that happened, it could have been a lot worse.

New rear trunk struts as my originals were on their last legs after almost 18 years.

Also when to install an new (used) trunk actuator. Got the old one out in 5 minutes (thank you forum!). When I opened up my new part, I found I had been shipped a drivers side door latch. Now usually, when crap like this happens, its my fault! This time I Found I had ordered the correct item, just got shipped the wrong thing. I'm in the process of getting this sorted out...shouldn't be a problem.

Tried posting the other day but couldn't get pics to work.

Restored my headlights last week, I think they turned out pretty good.

Was thinking MAYBE getting the yellow lamin-x film to cover them. Not sure if it would be too much. Opinions welcomed!

Hey thanks.

Took a while but I'll break it down. I painted everything myself.

Bumper cover bought at Hershey swap meet in April for $150. Was arctic silver.

Fenders were seal grey, bought from the the eBay guy who sells the 997 update. Came from an 02 996tt.

Lights off of eBay as well, $1600

I also bought the gemballa hood (not here yet) and techart skirts (not installed yet). Cost for the hood, fenders, skirts was $2400 shipped.

Not cheap but when deciding i did all the math and the 997 update would have been much more.

I would still like to sell my boxster HID lights to offset cost. I also have fenders, light trays, and boxster S bumper cover.

the lights come right out....you then don't need to mask them.

Yeah I know , it didn't really make a difference to me. Having them fixed made it easier to sit in front of car and work on them.

Finished cleaning the throttle body and MAF. Battery had died (started last Thursday), but a charge fixed that. Was worried about the clamshell properly closing... but everything fit just fine.

Will order the vacuum line for the left side intake sleeve. Arghh.

Next... sleeves and plugs... then AOS.

Hit 170K miles a couple weeks ago.

Replaced rear trunk actuator (broken cable). Used part for $33 and all good. Easy Peasy.
