I have an 06, no switch that I can find on the cover. I even took the cover off.

Ah, assumed you had a 986. Do you have your manual? I think your switch is on the center console

The switch is in the center but feels like it only goes down, but has arrows that point both up and down. Don't want to force it up. Anyone know if it goes up? I feel like a total idiot on this one btw.

If you don't have the manual, I would try asking someone on another forum like Planet 9 or Rennlist. If you are PCA member, you could also try the Boxster Register. My knowledge is with the prior gen 986. It sounds like maybe the switch needs replacing. Don't feel like an idiot at all! I have asked some pretty dumb questions. We're all in this P car thing together! Good luck.

I did look at the planet 9, sounds like it does push up. I'll have to give it a try!

On my 987.2 - it's a little black button that sits below the radio and climate controls. Google "porsche boxster wing button" - you will get some pics.

Windshield

Got the S a new windshield. I am pretty sure that it still had the original one still installed. Got a new silver molding to go with it too.

Swapped the non-dot matrix gauges for one with a dot matrix display. It worked perfectly after reprogramming with my VIN and milage. Glad I did this mod.

Yesterday I said goodbye to the miserable Toyo Proxis T1 Sport tires on my 17 inch wheels and hello to a set of new Michelin Pilot Sport PS2 N-3's, like I have on my 18 inch wheels. Today I drove the Boxster S over to Cars & Caffe at Prestige BMW in Ramsey, NJ. It was nice to drive at highway speeds without my steering wheel vibrating and annoying me after 8,000 miles on the POS Toyos.

Had a nasty rattle, especially prevalent when it was cold. It was almost drowning out the exhaust. Figured every heat shield underneath had broken loose at the same time. Turns out it was just one. Did the lazy man fix and put a clamp around it. Sounds beautiful again.

Nothing wrong with the lazy man fix.
I have a stainless worm clamp on each secondary cat heat shield.

My daily commute is 60 miles each way. My car came with 18 inch Light Carrera wheels (when I bought it in 2003, I decided that the car absolutely had to have PSM, heated seats and cruise control. So it also had the body colored rollbar, aluminum look interior trim and gauge rings and windblocker, but a base radio with only dashboard speakers and no trip computer). I love the look of the 18 inch wheels but wanted a half inch more rubber between my backside and what passes for roads here in Northern NJ.

When I had the chance to snag a set of 2003 17 inch rims, I did. Having prematurely replaced a couple of rear 18 inch PS2's due to road damage, I thought I would try something less expensive. Wish I had seen what people said here about the various brands of tires, the Toyos made my steering wheel and car vibrate annoyingly. I might have bought the Dunlop Direzza's, but having gone through the agony of the Toyos, I decided to go with Michelin again. I drove the Boxster to work yesterday and today, it is like a new car with these new Michelins!

Euro Side Marker lights & emerg hood cable

This morning I treated my Boxster to some new clear Euro side marker lights, a new hood latch cover and I fished that emergency hood cable to the tow hook location so I can find it next time.

I was at the Cars and Caffe meet too. Man, was it cold and windy, but some very nice cars there!

Cleaned all the wheels in and out and threw another coat of wax on it. I have way too much time on my hands!
