I had 4 new tires mounted on Monday by Firestone. I was checking them out today and noticed a large gouge on the top of the passenger side rear caliper...ugh 
I took the wheel off to get a better look and found cloth stuck in the inside bead. It looked like a shop rag got caught in there and the moron just ripped it off. Needless to say, I took all 4 wheels off to check everything and found that the paint on the drivers side rear caliper was damaged, also.
I took the wheel back and had them remove the rest of the rag. I did not have nice things to say to the service manager and, as luck would have it, the shop owner was there. I touched the paint up, but it doesn't look perfect. Luckily, it's hard to see since its on top.
I spent 6 hours fixing the mess. That's what I did with my Boxster today.

Just had a new windshield put in - done in the driveway. Luckily insurance paid most of it and I made sure it is an OEM windscreen.
A rock whacked last Saturday, left a big star that quickly cracked all the way to the edge - was on the way home from a fun drive around Malibu and Mulholland 'Snake'.

I had a tire shop scratch all 4 of my wheels. At least they paid to have them refinished

Um wow just wow!! I can believe they scratched up the brakes, but I can't believe he left that rag in there. Did the owner at least give some money back?

I received store credit and an assurance that no one but the euro specialist will touch it from now on. The credit isn't much use since I don't want to take it there anymore, but I guess it will cover quite a few state inspections.
I even left the lug alignment tool, lug key and printed tire removal instructions with pictures on the passenger seat for the tech. I guess he didn't have the time to read my stupid instructions or care about damaging my car. He was a younger guy (looked early 20's) and I'm pretty sure that he is now unemployed.

I'm guessing you didn't leave any directions on what to do if he got a rag stuck in the tire. That's probably when he got confused and caused him to smash the wheel into the barely noticeable nuclear green calipers.

That's the craziest damn thing. I am surprised it didn't leak air. How long would it have taken to remove it? Break the bead and re-seat, 60 seconds? What an ass hat.

Dealing with a foot+ of snow right now, my cabin fever took a severe turn for the worse. I stared at my car this weekend for an hour, uninterrupted drinking PBR's. I kept pacing between the garage and house staring at the Box questioning "When will I drive you again?". I ended up digging for my old Plastation3 to somewhat cure myself. GRAN TURISMO 6 for the past 24 hours!! Farewell weekend, see ya next week.

Had my 2003 mot'd on Friday and for the second year running she passed with the only advisory being to replace the rear tyres......Happy days indeed

Interior Mirror
2002 Bosxter S. Replaced interior mirror w/auto dimming/rain sensing from LA Dismantler. Easy job, cover pops off in two pieces, small cannon plug, two small metal clips ( 3 and 9 o'lock), ply one clip off pops mirror.
