None... both are original and no rebuilds.

Installed headlights

Replaced my headlights (looked as though someone ran a rake over the plastic) with a pair of pristine (purchased on the 986forum) headlights. Man they look great.

Installed an Injen heat shield and a new KN filter. PO de-snorkled it and cobbled up a CAI. Too cheap to buy store bought.Put the hardtop on and waiting for my headers to arrive.2014 budget done gone now. ;)
Forgot, removed newly installed front grill screens from Porsche Mesh. They are clear coated and I was going to plasti-dip them black but ? If anyone wants them there goin` for cheap make me an offer, fits first gen 986

Installed my top speed secondary car deletes.

Coupled with Borla sport exhaust.

Still drones, but down towards 2k instead of closer to 3k.

Pretty much means that's out of my normal operating range.

Got a DE next weekend, we'll see how she does as she gets wound up and set free.

Cheers,

Mike

Got mine back on Friday. When I did my inspection it turned out that I was ready for new rear tires. On short notice I was limited to local availability and went with Toyo sport 2's. So far so good, and the balance after replacing my engine mounts is a significant improvement.

Went for a nice long ride (450 kilometers) while I can, winter is coming. A little cold with the top down but it was a really nice road.

Just got back from a PCA "Sunday Drive". Led the Yellow Group of twelve Porsches; covered 130 miles, almost all twisties. Hit triple digits three times, crossed a one-lane bridge  over the Red River, then ate a late lunch on a patio at Grandpappy Point overlooking Lake Texoma.

Weather finally broke; beautiful sunny, cool day. A nice respite from the much needed rain here in North Texas. The meal was burgers 'n beer. The burger was the size of the planet Venus (why do they make them so damn big nowadays?), and the beer was cold.

Took the highway home. Long day.........eight hours from when we first left home.

Now for some Sunday Night football!

Me too, T.O.! Well, I was in the red group mostly just trying to keep up with the more experienced drivers. :) This was my wife's and my first drive. We've only had the Boxster 2 months, but for me it's a daily driver.

Great top-down driving weather. I really enjoyed seeing the kids (and some adults) coming out to watch us pass by.

Not sure if this will work......

Video of new exhaust with remote Gopro Microphone

Had to keep it to reasonable street speeds, but I'm looking forward to capturing some track action and audio.

Remote mic picks up engine/tranny more so than the exhaust.

enjoy,

Mike
