Painted my bumperettes to match the car. Already had the supplies from painting a new tow hitch cover for front bumper. Cleaned and sanded, 3 coats adhesion promoter, 3 coats primer, 4 coats paint, and 4-5 coats of 2k clear coat. May still wetsand and buff but turned out great!

My seat backs were coated with the notorious soft rubber which is used on many parts of the interior so you may have to deal with that during prep. There’s a video showing someone wrapping 987 sport seats with the upholstery on, but even there he comments that it would have been better to remove the upholstery. |
Replaced the little flappy spoilers on the under side of the car in front of the front tires. Both of mine were broken by the previous owner. Then I drove the car all weekend.

Early trip through the mountains and desert.
This trip book ends my Joshua Tree drive from 2 weeks ago. Left the house at 0500. Just over 200 miles. 60 of them on twisty mountain roads. 10 East to 243 south. 243 goes up through Idyllwild. Still a hint of snow at 6,000' The 243 connects with 74 in Idyllwild. This is the 'Palms to Pines' Scenic Byway. It drops down the other side of the ridge and into Palm Desert. 111 back to the 10 and home in 4 hours.

Their one year anniversary is March 17th. IIRC, this style dealer is the only one in North America. I’ve been working on this car for a couple of months now and today I pulled the front bumper cover and cleaned the debris out from the air intakes. Also painted the grills. A little scary in the outside corners.....dirt had collected there and was still damp from no telling when. Amazing how much stuff can work it’s way in between the condensers and radiators.

My Litronics had a flickering issue and wouldn't come on a lot of the time. I had to wiggle the switch and pull it out and back to convince them to come on. Replaced the headlight switch today. Now, they light up every time from my limited testing in the garage. Let's hope it fixes the issue once and for all.

Did the O2 -sensor cable extensions to be ready for new EU spec headers (no cats there) and 'downpipes' with 200 CPI cats install soon :dance:http://986forum.com/forums/uploads02...1583170330.jpg

Would you mind posting where you found the connectors for each end? OR catalog / part numbers for them? I think I'll do this if I ever need to change the o2 sensors. |

Here's the part numbers I used to hunt the connectors: Bosch 1-928-403-453 Bosch 1-928-403-736 Each cable needs one of each plug. I purchased these from UK, since I'm in Finland (no customs etc issues) - at least untill the brexit kicks in  Here's the link where I ordered those both connectors: https://www.auto-click.co.uk/1928403453 Same can be purchased from all continents. On top of the cables I have the white 8mm heat resistant sleeve. This size fits real well ove the wires. Hopefully this is helpful :) |
