Nice 911!
I hit a raccoon a few a nights ago. Luckily he only scratched the bottom of the front bumper. I am glad I took a look under the car since one of the plastic air dam things was barely hanging on.

Installed a new Alpine receiver with all that bluetooth and outer space radio stuff. It completes the audio upgrade, including new dash speakers, rear deck speakers and amp in the frunk finished over the past couple years. I am well pleased.

Mounted by winter wheels and A/S tires this week, and now it feels like summer in MA.

It took 2 days. I don’t have a garage so I had to wait for a window of good weather here in NC. The directions that autotops provides plus a few YouTube videos are all you need. There was really only one tricky part. I was quoted $1,000 to $1,200 at the local shops. This is definitely a job anyone can do with a little patience.

Spent yesterday doing my annual service/oil change, and two repairs. I replaced the airbag retaining plate so I can stop honking at everyone when I brake, and I repaired my leather door pocket lid.

Installed an extended Raceseng shifter that I got a great deal on via rennlist. Nice to have the shifter closer to the wheel, but I think a console riser would be a better solution.

I have the 997 factory short shift kit, so the feel with the SSK + weighted knob is good, but the throws are certainly longer.
I think the console riser would have been a better solution to keep the throws tight, but they went out of production and are hard to find these days.

Southern California finally received some rain on Saturday and Sunday. 170 days after it rained last. Drove up to Mt Baldy to stretch my and the car's legs. Snow in the village at 4,200 feet. Pictures are at the end of the road +/-6,000 feet.

Replaced the frunk actuator and put in new hood struts. Finally after owning the car for two months I can access the frunk.
And to think the shop I took it to wanted to charge me $280 for that not even including new hood struts. HA!

Today I changed my seats back from the 996 GT3 seats to the original stock heated seats. While I was "in there" I installed the ECU Doctors waterproof immobilizer case. I also took my Brey Krause roll bar extension off. The GT3 seats are great for the track and comfortable for driving, but getting in and out of the car is a pain. The stock seats felt like a comfortable old pair of shoes! Last weekend I put my 17 inch wheels and tires on and gave my brake calipers a good washing while the wheels were off. In a few weeks I'll put the hardtop on. It has been in the 70's here in the Northeast the past few days so I took it out for a top down test drive this afternoon after the seat change was completed.

Remove summer tires and installed all-weather tires in prep for winter, but will most likely winterize and not drive from Dec - Apr/May

Installed new Porsche OEM hood struts:dance:, re-installed electrical hood release button (it popped out), and lubed the drivers side door.

Haven't exactly done this yet, but I just ordered a Rennline shift knob. I'm super excited for it since I've been driving on Ben's short shifter on the factory knob for a few months now.

Bought everything I need to do the transaxle oil change. Went with Lucas products. I've heard good things. I'll tackle it this weekend I think. One more thing to check off my list.
*UPDATE. Done. Easy. Only tricky part was getting off and on the aluminum braces and cover plate to access the drain and fill plugs. Needed a little persuasion. Not a lot, just enough.
