Installed the Wolfsburg Tuning spinlocks after plugging in, and securing, the roll bar mesh grills I picked up the other day.

Looking for an inexpensive red, 3-spoke, airbag for a 98 Boxster.

Thank you.

Still waiting on exhaust heat shields so just small stuff.

Cleaned calipers and replaced decals, mini tidy up as I’ll rebuild next winter.

Installed some new Center caps on the Cayman wheels. Originals were black so thought I’d try colour this summer.

Had a look at the new exhaust gaskets and bolts. Tabs wouldn’t allow them to slide over the bolt shoulders so sores that. You can see where one of the old ones was blowing and the way it was being eaten away.

Repaired my saggy soft top by re-sticking the rear edge... Fix sagging soft-top coming unstuck at rear

First time starting it up since putting it away in November.

Battery died over winter and I didn’t remember to leave hood unlatched so I had to find that cable behind the headlight to pop it , but with the new Bosch battery it stated right up !

If I know I won't be driving her for a couple weeks, I just disconnect the battery. It takes 2 minutes to enter radio code and clock info.

Drove home from Bronxville, NY where we visited my younger daughter's family. Trip was done in my wife's 2002 Base. I have to say that there is less difference between this and my 2004 S than I expected. The base bogs down if you floor the throttle between 2K and 2.5K RPM, but if you keep the revs up it is as much fun as the S. I do miss having the 6 speed transmission. 5th with the 6 speed is perfect for country roads, but with the 5 speed you have to shift a lot between 4th and 5th.

Ben's short shifter

I finally installed installed Ben's short shifter, that I purchased last year, well replaced both of the plastic cable ends, not sure which took out the sloppy travel, however it now shifts like new.

I declared Spring and removed the hardtop, put it on the storage rack and don't expect to use it again till Sept. Looking forward to having the top down again. Temperatures here are predicted to soar into the 70's later this week! Panic often sets in if the temperature gets above 80 around here and we get very paranoid if it stops raining for a few days...

I forgot how good the new soft top with the glass rear window looks. I put the hardtop on last Fall the day after the new soft top was installed.

Also changed the engine air filter. Gave the car a wash and found it covered with pollen 2 hours later...Spring is definitely here!

Brought it out to the PCA CVR spring rally. Ended up getting 3rd place!

Parking lot was empty at the end because we were one of the first ones out and one of the first to reach the end location.

Replaced the original (2001 - 67000 miles) fuel filter.
Decided to cut open the old one - lots of black slimy stuff and quite a few bits of ? in the pleats. Definitely needed changing!

I changed my fuel filter on my Audi yesterday with over 187,800 miles. I was curious how the original 12 year old fuel filter looked. Seems it wasn't that bad; I expected to see a blackened fuel filter.

Washed the car, used Meguiars clay bar on the paint (made a noticeable difference) polished and waxed. Took about 4 hours but it was well worth the effort.

I need the location too. Getting the brace on after changing the transmission fluid was a PITA.

Mine is really tight but I've found putting a ratchet strap through the wheels and a little bit of tension pulls the mounts a little closer and it will slide on easily.
