Spent a relaxing afternoon fitting my new rear lights ( $120 of ebay - can't be beat).
Also decided it was time to repaint my brake calipers. Got to get the car looking good for Rennsport v in 2 weeks!

@njbray : mind if I ask where you got the brake decals from, I can't seem to find them anywhere online? Thanks!

Brake decals came from:
Porsche Emblems / Stickers - Maxspeed-Motorsports

they have different sizes & colors. I had to be careful when peeling of the thick paper backing - the letters want to stick to the thick backing instead of the clear paper. They seem good quality.

Got my key fob reprogrammed. Now I have central locking. What a difference it makes!

Realigned my headlights. I have not been happy with how high they were since the day I bought it. To me they were shining too low. At 55 MPH I didn't feel I could see far enough ahead of me to feel safe if something stepped out into the road. Now we will see how many people flash me on the way to work this week. No one did on my trial drive last night, so that's a good thing.

New ceramic pads and drilled rotors. Freshly bedded!

Polished the crap out of it and gave it a nice wax. It took a really long time. I didn't finish till after dark. pictures will have to wait till tomorrow.

Made my own floormats for $6, and ordered a buffer.

I realized a couple of thing about my Boxster after I used the no rinse car wash on my car (this stuff works pretty well).
First, my hood that I had repainted, color sanded and buffed, wasn't nearly as smooth and shiny as the rest of the car.
Second, the entire car had a lot (really... a lot) of swirls in it. This seems to be fairly common for darker paints.
I decided to go to town on it with my Porter Cable 7424 DA polisher. To date, I hadn't yet done the entire car. I started with the hood. I put on a cutting pad and started in with some rubbing compound on the hood only. As soon as I got the product on the pad, and started lowering it to the surface of the car, the polisher slipped out of my hand and hit the hood. **CRAP!!**(those weren't my words) I inspected the hood and found only a little bit of marring that the pad and compound could easily handle (whew!). I did the entire hood with the rubbing compound. That made a huge difference. Although not quite as good as factory paint, it was really darn close.
I then did the entire car with a couple more polishes. First Meguiar's 105, then 205 polishes. At this point (many, many hours into the process), the car looked fantastic. I used some Meguiar's Mirror Glaze on the hood, and although it made it look a little better (not too much really), it's really tough to wipe it clean. I figured it wasn't worth the effort to do the entire car with it.
Last thing I did was to apply some P21S wax. This stuff is super easy to apply and remove, and looks like a million bucks. I'm totally happy with the results. I might add a few more coats of wax, but it looks beautiful as is. Here are some pictures:

What kind of buffer did you order? I'm trying to find a good but reasonable one as well.

Should be here tomorrow, maybe I can get some hands on time with it before my trip this weekend.

Autogeek.net (no affiliation) has been (for me) one of the best places to get tools and supplies for car cleaning. They also have really great "How-To" videos to help you with the process. I recommend the Porter Cable, but there are many other options out there.

It was yesterday actually but today is a carbon copy. My wife and I worked in the yard a bit then took a trip to West Baden & French Lick Indiana. adjusted the front hood height, no more whistle! and got my tires balanced. smooth and quiet on the highway again
