Question White Smoke From the Engine then starts

HI guys
I experienced this for first time :

Taken from 986faq.com

"Diagnostic: White smoke comes from tailpipe when the engine is started.

Cause: Oil residue under the pistons heads.

Details: The Boxster engine uses a flat six cylinder design. Because of this construction, oil residue remains under the piston heads and burns off at every start up. This can produce a white puff of smoke. It should only lasts a few seconds. This is normal, and no correction is necessary."

Question may be i need to take some oil off, i changed the oil recently and maybe put more than nessesary?

Thank you all

A number of Boxster owners posting on another site, including myself, have had this happen and it is apparently common and nothing to worry about.

It's common, but beware if it's suddenly about 20 times the normal amount of smoke. Just happened here and the oil separator was the culprit.
