What a sweet Cayman S!

I often dream about upgrading my 97 base boxster which always needs repairs for a much newer Cayman S... Here's one I am watching on eBay, but can't afford to purchase.

Porsche : Cayman | eBay

Price is way high for a non CPO car, but I sure do like it! It's a $30k car I think.

Wow, that is one nice ride!

At $36,990 the pricing is reasonable but not great. Blue Book is $35.8K - $38.5K, so they have priced it reasonably but in this market its hard to sell sports cars.

My guess is that they'd take the first offer around low BB. I'd offer something in the low $30K's and see where it goes.

Beautiful Cayman, but I'd miss dropping the top.

I saw one like that when I was out and about, couldn't resist taking a picture!

Just something about it! If only......

this.

i like the convertible aspect of the boxster. If I'm gonna drive a nice car I wanna show off a bit, i don't wanna hide inside of it

I've had attractive women just walk up and get in the car.... course they then told me they were working and wanted $, but that's a different story Welcome to Saint Louis!

I only wish they had a boxster with a backseat.... well they do, it's called a 911, but I'd miss having a trunk. A convertible with a front and back trunk was one of the reasons I bought a boxster over a 911, bmw, mercedes, etc

if Porsche made a mid-engine convertible with rear seats I'd be in heaven

Buy one of each. Solves all your problems. When the weather's nice, I take the Boxster. When I go out on weekends and don't want people messing up the conv top, I take the Cayman. The Cayman holds 2 sets of golf clubs and is great for DEs. The Boxster gives you Rock Star status. Can't go wrong with a set.

i used to be a coupe guy. got the boxster because it was cheap, but was just biding my time until i could trade up to a cayman or an aircooled 911.

and then i moved to a place where my local track lets me run with my top down.

I still miss mine, even if it wasn't an S...

When the prices come down a bit more, I will certainly do the swap!

If I was staying mid-engine.....then I'd rather opt for a Boxster Spyder.

I was surprised to hear that the Sypder was quicker and better handling than a Cayman R from the first lap. Now that the new Boxster has gone electric steering, the Spyder might be the best handling, driver oriented mid engine Porsche you'll ever be able to buy new or used.
