The over to quick long drive home

The tale of bringing home the 2003 Boxster S.

Picked her up near Dallas Texas. Did a quick "test drive" with my Step-Father....

Stayed overnight with the folx and started the drive home to Florida. Clear sky, beautiful drive.

Then I went to my in-laws who live in Houston. Thought I would show the car and have some lunch with them. It started to rain.....hard.....

As I was getting ready to turn right on a red light....BANG....Got rear ended. Fortunately the guy was only going about 3 miles per hour, but I was PLENTY pissed. No damage to either car, lucky for him.

After a rainy drive through the south, I arrived in sunshine at home.

I may not be able to wipe the gin off my face for a month.

Welcome and congrat's on the new car! Glad that there was no damage from the rear ender and I am pretty sure that you'll never get that grin off your face - I know that I haven't!

Very nice! Just got an 01 S in the same color, but with black interior. Can't stop grinning too! The drive home from Dallas to Ft Worth was alot less eventful than yours thankfully.

Awesome! I KNOW how you feel. The GRIN does not wear off BTW….until you get the first major repair bill….even then a spirited drive, with the car running right, more than makes up for it! Enjoy!

The call it Porsche PERMA-GRIN for a reason!
