I believe the PST2 is required to recalibrate the Yaw sensor in the steering column.
My 2000 S hit 101,000 miles today & I have had it realigned many times & demand the steering wheel be recentered if needed, but never by a shop that has a PST2 or needed it. Thank any shop that says they are not qualified to work on your Porsche & find a shop that is. The shop that does my alignments here in LA uses a 40 year old rack & strings. $150. for front & rear.
