I have had at least 5 other Boxster owners ask how I got the blue gauge lights - this will complete the look seamlessly.

I'd bet no one else has done this yet.
Maybe theres a unit that comes with a different color, but I've never seen one.

You will need 23 surface mount LED's for the unit, plus 2 per switch. Took about 3 hours total, but that was do to the caffeine making me shake like a leaf!
Probably a 1-2 hour job normally.

Edit: seems that someone else found the ambition to do this. I just wasn't using the right search terms.

and here I thought that I was special.
And apparently you can buy a "kit" from PorscheLED.com, though its just 25 leds and no filter as far as I can tell. Overpriced for simple components, too. Wouldn't have made things any easier. They also claim that they are 12v leds which makes me wonder, since the onboard supply voltage is only 1.5 volts.
