Wasn't planning on getting one for the Boxster. I tend to think a Porsche is enough of a statement without adding a vanity plate as well, but I lean towards the low-key, understated look probably more than most.

Incredibly, I've never received a negative comment. Had a couple of guys on Harleys laughing about it a light a few weeks ago, and everything else has been positive. There was one guy in an Element who may have given me the finger last week, but if I were "driving" an Element, I'd be frustrated too - so I didn't read too much into it.

You might be lucky the Harley guys didn't pull you out of your car and beat you. The term "1 percenter" is usually used in reference to outlaw bikers and they can be quite protective of the title. In this case, they were just laughing at you for thinking that you belong to that group. I absolutely would not have that plate on my car. not around these parts anyway. |
