Finally got the new stereo installed!

Some of you may remember I posted about this awhile ago. I finally got everything in and the results are outstanding! I posted about it over on 6speed in case the Cayman guys were interested too:

987 Boxster - double DIN, 8" subs in doors and rear speaker kit install - 6speedonline.com Forums

Cheers,

I've been debating whether to go with the Kenwood DDX719 like you did, or the Pioneer AVH-P4400BH. How do you like the Kenwood?

Does it make the car go faster, stop faster or corner better?

Nicely done though, I bet it sounds great!

It does if I'm playing Metallica loud enough!

I really like it so far. The menus are easy to use and it's fairly intuitive. The Bluetooth seems to work good. No complaints but I can't comment on the long term reliability yet...

I too was debating about Kenwood or Pioneer - and came up with a JVC KW-NT3HDT. It has NAV functions and I have 5.9 DAYS worth of music on an SD card! Forget the CDs! This unit rocks too! Best thing is….detachable face! I can toss it with me when I go and do not have to worry about someone shredding my $2k top for a $400 double DIN system. ENJOY!! It IS WORTH THE EFFORT! Good writeup too!

Thanks @Homeboy981. Sure hope you're enjoying your system too. Sounds solid and I was definitely checking out some of the JVC units too. Now that Kenwood and JVC are both the same company, I'm guessing a lot of the guts are the same on these now...

Cheers,
Eric
