I'll ask my mother if she's willing to part with the plastic wrappers on the lamp shades (plastic runner on the rugs are too thick) so you don't have to fool around with Saran wrap (here we go again...).

Seriously, I put a set of Porterfield R4-S pads on my wife's MB E320 and they throw very little dust and don't eat up rotors -- I'll get a set of these for the Box when the time comes. I have about 56K miles on the stock pads and they still have a lot of lining remaining although the rotors have a noticeable lip around the edge -- looks like the rotors are wearing faster than the pads.

Just paint them flat black, then you'll never need to clean them again.
