New clutch now engine oil smell?

I had my clutch replaced a week ago as well as 45k svc. Now when I am driving I am noticing a burning smell from the engine. I've read that sometime stuff can drip if engine got dirty but this ha been going on for a week. It maybe got slightly better but is noticeable a lot when going in reverse ... I also noticed it shifting into 4th which I hadn't done for a while. Is this normal? Do I just need to clean the engine...which is something I am planning on anyhow...t
Thanks
Comet
