Thank you for your advice. I did decline the work. It may not be a crime to try to sell service that is not needed; however, they have lost a customer as I no longer trust their intentions.

Their intentions are necessarily bad. You have a 7 yr old car. One of the pics provided talked about doing services early if your car has less than 9K mi per yr. I was a business major but 9K x 7 is 63K so they're not out of line suggesting this service. If you're having them change your oil (the easiest DIY) they probably assume they need to perform all services on your car.

Would you rather they scrimp and go strickly by mileage and then have something break because of age that costs you lots of money to fix?

As others have said, it's within your rights to deny the service (which you did). But don't wait until you get to 60K. I do the majority of my own maintenance and it's not too compicated.
