I race too (SRF in SCCA) and generally I'm pretty moderate on public roads. Driving at the track with other competent drivers surrounding you, no chance of someone darting out into traffic and no law enforcement worries makes me all the more conscious of those hazards on the street.

However, sometimes I do let the animal out when conditions are perfect. Otherwise I'd drive a Corrolla on the street.

The fastest I have ever driven my car is 65mph :dance::dance:

Side note:
Did you know that my redline in 4th at 7400 rpms with the cayman 5 speed tranny is 133mph. Just an interesting fact. Of course how that information was obtained is strictly confidential.

I do make sure the road is clear of other traffic/pedestrians when I decide to play. I am generally mild-mannered on highways; Cruise on @ 75, obey passing lane laws, and generous following distances (which also helps prevent stone chips) .

P.S. I also "hear" that 7K in 3rd is exactly 100 MPH.
