Yes, I was wondering the same. You should install some Fabspeed by-pass pipes to take advantage of that new muffler.

Also, I am in the process of retrieving my Turbowerx headers off my '01 S I surrendered back in April. I will give you a good deal on them as they are virtually new and give the car quite a bit of power. Sound is unbeliveable!

Pm me if interested.

Boxtaboy 05-11-2012 06:07 PM

So how do you like the sound?

jwade 05-11-2012 06:13 PM

Sounds incredible. Like a cup car. Basically running straight exhaust from the engine thru an original eisenmann PSE is something else.

Personally, they look sexy and if you are happy with the sound all the better!

The only thing I worry about would be the visual, and not the "sniffer" portion of the smog test here in "too late to fix" Cali.

Unless the tester is an expert on boxsters, seeing the pre-cats on the headers should satisfy the visual inspection.

Let's see your own video clip ....

Boy, those pics of the CROSS pipes are just true art!

I think I will have to bite on this one and switch out my exhaust, along with the deluboz bypass pipes.

LM3, do you think this particular exhaust could be installed without removing the bumper?

I do not understand why ANYONE would take the bumper off to change ANY exhaust.
Yes it's a little tight, but the only problem are the two bolts on top of the exhaust and if you know where they are you can get to them

l3m 05-13-2012 05:23 PM

You don't have to take out the rear bumper to change the exhaust. I only took off the rear bumper because 1) I didn't want to prop up the car and later find out that I have to remove the bumper, 2) I didn't want to accidentally scratch or damage the rear bumper, and 3) I wanted to learn how to remove the rear bumper.

I like the sound of this exhaust. I understand having bypass pipes would be beneficial but right now, I don't want it to be any louder. Definitely more enjoyable to drive now.

I do remember installing my b & b many years ago and it definItely was a pita! But it sounds like the bumper removal has quite a few steps also.

That exhaust looks fantastic!

I was going to buy that and their coils before someone ran a red light and put an end to my Boxster...

Post videos when you can and +1 on secondary cat delete

+5 on headders

Randall, I'm not sure exactly what drone sounds like. There isn't any annoying sound inside the cabin. I need to drive car more with the windows closed.

I need to make some videos. So far, it's nothing different than the one video (with Ohio plates) I posted earlier. It sounds better when you're inside the cabin. Sound videos are not what you actually hear in person.
