Every time I take the Porsche for a drive there is one or two jerk drivers that just have to get on my rear bumper. It seems like they want to "try me". Does this happen to any of you ? Is it because of the color ? When I have had enough I leave them in the dust.

It happens, the only time I give into the temptation to "create space" is either when the road gets twisty or on an off ramp. Otherwise, I take my police cousin's playbook and slow down even more and drive leisurely, they don't like that. To your point though, I have seen rusted corsicas pushing it as hard as the car can go to try to either see the car or race it.

Yeah, I think it's a "fast car" thing. Young guys in their [insert brand here] want to either burn the paint off your back bumper or pace you, hoping you want to "go".

I just slow down or turn off and take another road. It's not worth the demerit points or potential loss of life & property racing a total twit on the street. That's what the track and dragstrip are for.

+1 for slowing down. I do that more often than not.

I just pop the trunk and let my "passengers" take care of things.

LOL! The ONLY time anyone is even close to my bumper is when I have the misfortune of being stuck at a stoplight....and when that light turns green, I'm gone!

When I think about passengers in the trunk, I always think of the trunk money.

See, and that's why I slow down. :D People tailgate to try to get you to go faster. Although I do like to pull through all the gears rather quickly, it's much more satisfying to meander along so the tailgating driver knows their tactics don't work on everyone.

But... there's just something also very satisfying when you leave someone in the dust... :cool:

I would say I'm either tailed or paced at least once every other day. Usually by someone in one of the current American muscle cars wanting to get me to race them. I just ignore them. They can think whatever they want to think about why I didn't take the bait.

+1 On stangs tailgating. I wired my fog lights to act as faux brake lights so others back off.:p

Maybe you're just driving too frikin' slow! Move over and let the traffic that wants to get past you go.

Move into the fast lane(aka the PASSING LANE) so that jerkwater can pass on the right? I think not!

It's usually in city traffic anyway or at a stop light. Douchebags will be douchebags...

I just do the Jäger maneuver and pretend you are quickly avoiding something in the road… Watch what happens to the traffic behind you.

Oh comon now, what are the odds any one of us is holding up the parade? It's usually some pine cone eater coasting in a Prius to set a new mileage record.

Some of you old farts drive slower than the speed limit, no matter what you're in! If I catch someone driving a Porsche slow down for an upcomings corner I immediately report them to the PCA.
