Update

After replacing the
- suspension with rebuilt ones from vertex
- clutch
- IMS (PP kit)
- RMS
- SAI
- Tranny fuild
- low temp thermostat
- oil fill tubes
- belt
- wheel bearings
- axle boots
- brake pads

And installing
- IMSG

The car feels so good. No roughness on initial start & idle, no high rpms on stops. I can attribute that issue to the SAI system and the oil fill tube holes. Rear humming noise was actually the wheel bearings and axle boot disintegration causing dirt inside the axle joints. The clutch feels so soft and nice than earlier. As for the ride quality it is day and night. It's not too hard as in SPORT and has a slight soft feel which I'm really loving. There is a light walking which is ok as I need the alignment done. I could go on and on but overall it was fun and frustration doing all this work and was totally worth it.

My sincere thanks to you folks who provided a lot of support.

This was all DIY?

That's impressive.

Do you have a shop proper with a lift, or was this all done on jackstands?

Just goes to show that "average joes" can work on these cars themselves.

Great work and congrats.

All DIY. On jack stands. In fact I had room only for half car in my garage so the other end was sticking out with tarp over it. Quite pathetic. Need to clear up the garage soon and get a nice lift.

I could just see that. Your DIY is quite inspirational to the forum and people like me. I have never taken my car into service; as I do all the work on it myself. A lift to people like us is a godsend.
