4 disc CD

I just purchased a 2004 Boxster S. I can't seem to change to cds that are loaded in the 4 disc holder. It says to press the CD button multiple times....but nothing happens.

If you are talking about the disk holder that is underneath the Becker unit itself, that is just a storage holder. The actual CD player is behind the face plate and it plays one CD at a time.

Am I understanding you incorrectly here?

You are right...I sure blew that one. I don't have the owners manual yet and it sure looked like a changer to me. Actually, that seems like a waste of space. Is it removable?

Yes in about 30 seconds. You can replace it with a cubby from your dealer. About $30.

Good luck

It is as good as a changer though. I can eject the single CD from the head unit, remove an alternative CD from the caddy, put the new CD in the head unit and then store the old CD in the caddy just as fast as any multichanger can swap disks!!
