To be or not to be....

My car is almost 12 yrs. old now and has 109k mi already on the clock. I think it need some freshening up. Since I'm on the tight budget, I've been contemplating on putting this one on my car for almost a year now. What do you think... Is it too tacky? It doesnt belong to my 12 yr. old car? Just asking opinion about it or if someone can photoshop it on my car, that would be great so I could see what it looks like before I jump on it.

Personally, the two things that I dislike the most are tattoos on women and decals/stickers on european cars .

Difficult on your car/color, maybe a light gray?

Me, I'd rather buy a front strut brace for approx. the same price.

Just sayin'

Oh come on... What's wrong with a little butterfly tattoo on a woman's backside?

I'm not complaining if she provides me with some reading material in bed.

Tattoos on the knuckles have become increasingly popular .

I like it if it's the white decal... At least on the models I've seen.

I see that your Carrera Lights do not have colored center caps, why not get a set? I find it makes a subtle but noticeable visual improvement...

Center Cap Set - Full Color:Porsche Parts & Porsche Accessories - Wholesale Porsche Parts & Tequipment - Cayman Panamera Cayenn

Get this too while you're at it.

And get a set of stainless lug nuts.

I've done it on my past Porsche's and may do it on my 911. It looks great and more importantly, it's your car. If you like it, and it appears you do, do it. It costs very little and can be easily removed if you decide afterwards that it's not for you.

Have you considered going for maximum purity with a twist?

If it were my car, I'd put the original 17-inch wheels back on along with amber indicators all round. Then lower it a little. It'll look spectacular.

Thanks guys for the input....preciated it!

@ JD- Point taken! I think I will keep it decal free...I actually remove the badge last week, not because I dont like the way it looks but because of the broken "B" and old waxes inside the letters :-(

Thanks Ekam for the suggestion. I will just update the center cap, lug nuts and air valve...subtle but will make a big difference.

@pothole - not a bad idea. I still have all the original lights with me. I know for sure I'm not going back to 17" but I will definitely lower it down..that's next on the list once my checkbook allows me.

Needs 17 IMHO. 18s are too big for the 986.

Call me old fashioned but, that (and other ink on women) just SCREAMS used car..............

To the OP, I agree with prior recommendations on lowering the car. It really improves the look. 18's IMO look much better than the 17's though, JMHO.

Unless one is a WWII navy veteran with a ship anchor or mermaid tattoo, it all spells trailer park trash !!l
