Regarding Vehicle shipment / purchase

I like to give props where it is due. Many of us have had some rough dealer experiences, I'd like to say if you are in the Dallas area or are buying a car online you can trust Jeff Clairmont to not only do his best to get you what you want but give you the proper after sale service you expect. He's at Park Place Porsche, Dallas, TX, that is where I purchased. As for shipping, just remember this email dcox@earthautoshippers.com Her name is Danielle and she is very professional and helpful. The guy who delivered my car was as careful as if he was unloading his own, he was awesome. He also had to move a Lamborghini to get my car so I got to hear that bad boy fire up. Not only that but he was two days early and USING A PLASTIC Cover on every car with a car above it, he was the man!!

Love the sitting in the Spyder. I said I'd do these folks a solid if they came through for me and both did.

Ghost - Good to hear that there are some good dealers out there. Now, where are the pics of the new Spyder?

Tell you something else guys even at idle it's raspier and meaner sounding than my 986 ever was. I was thinking of the sport air filter to increase the sound but now I'm going to leave everything stock.

We ship cars to and from our facility from all over the country.. If you ned help shipping we can get you in touch with those who have moved dozens of cars for us without any issues. I avoid brokers at all costs and only deal directly with the truck owners.

No offense Jake but this guy made the guy who picked up my car to go to you seem unskilled. As for the top, too soon to tell I think it will be no big deal at all. Like anything else repetitive efforts will lead to shorter up / down times, I read after practice it takes about two minutes. The inside front piece is carbon fiber so when it's up it looks cool as hell. It will certainly be easier to use ragg top on as it comes all the way off. I also think the one piece back is easier access to the engine but we will see. The Spyder isn't about convenience it's meant to be a kick ass Boxster for driving enthusiasts. Having said that the seats are awesome, very comfortable IMO.

I rode in an identical looking Spyder last weekend at AutoClub Speedway. That is one seriously awesome car!

OK Ghostrider I know you would not want to be seen in that ugly, slow car. So as a fellow pcar owner I will let people look at me funny and drive that for you. I know it is so kind of me, but that is what friends are for.

LOL

That is awesome! I usually don't like white on any car but that I would do. Seen one in a dealer couple of months ago and loved it. Have fun and enjoy!!!

Lookin good!
Just as with seat belts, would recommend getting into the habit of always applying the E-brakes.

You would drive it for me to assess it even though it's white and you would test drive it free of charge? I'm wiping the tear from my eye, this is how the internet shines, there are true people of altruism out there with key boards. Makes me want to drive a Chevy eat some apple pie and unload a .45 into some snotty girls laptop.
