how to remove seat rails

Hello,

I'm trying to install my new (to me) gt3 seats from maxspeed, I have the maxspeed custom seat mounting brackets that apparently fit onto the stock seat rails. I have the OEM seats laying on my floor, but can't figure out how to remove the railes from the seat. When I pull the lever, and pull on the rail, it's caught on something (i'm sure intentionally).

Anyone know how to remove the rails to fit custom brackets on top?

When I got rid of my stock seats and went with the Sparco, I made new brackets out of T6 and mounted the rail that came with the new seats. Nice thing about doing this was I lowered the seat down about 1 1/2" and gave me a more comfortable position. Mind you I did keep the rails from the stock seat just in case I find something else down the road...but at this point...lower is better.
