Sweeeeet 996 Turbo! Details? Yr? Miles? Options?

madmods 02-11-2012 07:39 PM

Had the same for one day, same colour!!! I bought it second hand and literally got it "STOLEN" the next day. So be very CAREFUL mate.

I didn't bother to report it to the cops..... visiting my wife at the local jail isn't my stuff really.

It ended up to be the only car in the world that I am not allowed to touch, think of driving, aproach, or even look at :/ She just got the crest covered with 'fake' little diamonds so there is no way I will be driving this car on my own ever again anyway. She does work hard to make sure of this believe me.

ohioboxster 02-11-2012 10:05 PM

2002 45k miles, all service records, 2 owners, southern car, meticulous owner and simply beautiful. It has heated seats, nav, some aluminum accents inside and it's a 6 speed.

Sorry about your luck, that sounds rough.

coreseller 02-12-2012 02:32 AM

Very, Very Nice. Timeless color also. The 996 turbos are becoming quite the bargain. Glad to hear it is a 6 speed. She's so pretty I would leave her just as is.

Frodo 02-12-2012 05:33 AM

Hey OB, good for you! You keepin' the Targa? I'll keep my eye open for you---don't see all that many of those around here.

ohioboxster 02-12-2012 08:41 AM

The Targa went to a guy in Arizona, I've been through several cars since that one.

Frodo 02-12-2012 09:11 AM

Damn, OB...you go through cars like corn through a duck! :D

DenverSteve 02-12-2012 08:15 PM

It is lovely. Too bad it's not a convertible.

gomarlins3 02-13-2012 03:43 AM

That's beautiful. Not sure about the rear bumper, but LOVE the rest.

tuanle16 02-13-2012 09:09 AM

can i ask, how much?

ohioboxster 02-15-2012 11:13 AM

I have to bump this until I see Mike post, sorry guys. I lost touch with him

tuanle16 02-15-2012 11:56 AM

man. i love the 996 turbo look. i love the side air coolers/vents. i like these front lights much more than the 997 ones. since, i saw your post, i started looking myself for 996 turbos. man...they are expensive. hope you got a good deal!

RandallNeighbour 02-15-2012 12:34 PM

Dude! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!!!

I am sooooooo envious :)

Bmod986 02-15-2012 01:08 PM

Congrats that looks real nice. now that garage the car is in is also very nice. Even Nicer are the great selection of cars. I like that viper in the background. But the highlight is that gorgeous turbo, it looks real clean, and I hope it performs the same.

ohioboxster 02-15-2012 07:27 PM

Thanks guys,

Randall come back to Ohio for another visit. We'll do another highway blast!! I still see Marty, not nearly enough and I kind of lost touch with Mike. Would like to meet up with everyone again.

Hey I'm off Friday if you want to test drive one 2001 Porsche 911 Turbo, $48,000 - Cars.com

986_c6 02-19-2012 12:39 AM

Nice find!

That should be polar silver, aftermarket wing, and lowered. Again, some nice touches to this car!

ohioboxster 02-19-2012 08:51 AM

Thanks, tomorrow can't come soon enough. I have an important FedEx delivery tomorrow and my wife has a Dr. appointment scheduled in the middle of the day too. I hope the car comes early! Everything is ready to go on my end, I even already have the insurance card for the car.

IT does seem to be lowered a little. The jury is still out on the color. I bought it as Arctic Silver, but everyone is saying it Polar silver.

From the pics, it definitely looks Polar silver. Arctic silver should look closer to the Mercedes C-class in the background of the pic. If you got Polar...then you are lucky as they are definitely more rare.

That's a pretty rough looking neighborhood . I'd make sure that I kept it locked at all times .

When you see the pics of my car that wont be a joke! I'm thinking the delivery guy is going to be like "really? you live here but you just bought this"?

I know, it's scary sometimes, I live on the low income side of the development. Hey, guess who's car is still sitting outside? I have such a nice wife, we could fit her car in the garage, but I'm afraid my car would feel cramped. LOL

LOL. I was thinking it, but can't believe you SAID it!!

cbbepop 02-26-2012 11:39 AM

real beauty!!!

Ghostrider 310 02-26-2012 12:10 PM

Guess I'm odd man out, I don't see the "horror" in your neighborhood. In fact if you believe that to be the hood I'll just leave out my arrival shots; for starters my home built garage does not have the faux marble finish.

ohioboxster 02-26-2012 12:13 PM

My impression was Johnny was joking and Tuan is possibly serious? I dunno, either way it's a great neighborhood.

Ghostrider 310 02-26-2012 12:41 PM

My hood is old but safe, people can be inconsiderate with their car stereos but I don't believe anyone has had a break in and I've owned the home thirty years now. As for the garage, my dad who is now sick, my brother and I built it thirty years ago, it's family history and a lot of Fiat factory tools he does not remember the use for. I have thought it might be fun to photograph some tools and start a what are they thread, once he get stabilized I'll try to do that.

ddb 02-26-2012 05:30 PM

Wow, that is nice!

Adding 100 HP is going to be amazing.

Enjoy and congratulations!

I was joking ! With the exception of the "crack house" on the corner, it looks like the quintessential "McNeighborhood " . :)

tuanle16 02-26-2012 10:42 PM

sorry man. i'm sure your neighborhood is very nice and safe. i just saw a blue house. in the area that i live in, that is just not typical. my bad. i apologize if i offended you.

ohioboxster 02-27-2012 12:29 PM

Tuan,

No, you didn't offend me. You would have to mean something to me for me to feel offended. It would be me like saying you're a pretentious prick with terrible grammar. That wouldn't bother you right? Of course it wouldn't, we have no relationship.

I couldn't figure out what the hell you guys were talking about. The crack house reference, the blue house comment really confused me. I looked back at the pictures and figured it out. The car was dropped off at the dealership, not my house.

See the big building on the left? It's an automobile dealership. Tell me about the people that live down the street. I know to stay away from anyone with a blue house. What about the white one? Should I be afraid of them too?

Insufferable pinhead...

http://i5.photobucket.com/albums/y17...6/DSC00137.jpg

RandallNeighbour 02-27-2012 12:34 PM

Oh crap. My house is painted blue.

Good thing I'm a gangsta with a couple of boosted 9 mils and some weed growing out back behind my garage.

ohioboxster 02-27-2012 12:45 PM

I knew it, as soon as I met you I was thinking pot, I can score some pot from this guy. I'm meeting Marty and Mike for dinner on the 3rd. wish you could be there! I'll get some pics for you. I can't wait to ride in Marty's 911 powered Boxster.

RandallNeighbour 02-27-2012 12:50 PM

Um, I may have misspoken. You and your smokin' hot wife are both LEOs, right? :chicken:

If so, I gave you the totally wrong impression... Uh, I meant ragweed. Lots of weeds growing out behind my garage. Not THAT kind of weed

Burg Boxster 02-27-2012 12:59 PM

Looks sharp - congrats and welcome to the dark side ;)

Good to see it rode on top deck while the Chebby was appropriately relegated to bottom for catching drips from those above :D j/k of course

Good luck and enjoy :)

ohioboxster 02-27-2012 01:02 PM

Randall, the wife is a full time student now. She will be in law school this time next year.
