The question for me is, "would this stop me from buying a newer Boxster?" No. As long as I can afford to put the $$$ into it. Once I cannot, then I sell it and buy......!!!???:dance::dance::dance:

Not many statistics to back up their claim, but if it's on the Internet it must be true. All I know is the 2.5 yrs I owned my 01S it was one thing after another that needed fixing. Luckily most of it was covered by CPO. In the 4 yrs I've owned my 987S, it's only had 1 problem that was covered by warranty (water pump). My 987S has also been one of the most reliable new cars I've ever owned.
