Soft top and high speed runs

Ever wonder what's the impact on the soft top (up position) when the car is used on frequent high speed runs ? The constant flapping of the plastic window ?

Well I finally discovered what can and will happen.... In the middle of a high speed run I noticed that the plastic window was flapping harder and was looser than normal. Alarmed I immediately slowed down and stopped at the nearest safe place.

Roof looked normal but when I lowered the roof to the service position I discovered that the canvas has slipped out of the last frame. By about 1". And that was enough to make the rear of the roof flap violently, I'm sure the plastic window will probably suffer some damage if left like that for a while.

Hmm that's a real bummer

I don't have any looseness in my top. No "flapping" at any speed.
