Profession: Retired Navy F/A-18 Pilot. I now fly an old British Fighter: Mk-58 Hawker Hunter providing Adversary Support to the US military.

Would I rather fly my jet or drive my Boxster? Luckily I can do both.

Mike, I think they probably refer to us as 'clowns'...at least me anyways.

24, just graduated with MS in computer engineering, software engineer for mercedes-benz research and happily drive the '99 into work each day , although the deals through the job for a new merc are looking awfully attractive.

You're not going to stop there, are you? I keep going back for more punishment. At 36, I'm enrolled for the fall semester...again. Taking a CAD refresher (been 2 years since my last CAD class) and some artsy stuff. Nothing critical, I just like being on campus. I should look into getting a job there.

I was 'all about that life' for 7 years straight. In that time, I saw things no human should go through...like 10 years solely towards a PhD. Late 30's, still in school, making 1800 a month as a TA, still doing internships each summer. The problem is getting published in the computer architecture field is getting increasingly harder, and you won't graduate until you've got something original to add to the field. So long story short (after you've already read the story...ha ha), I got out.

Maybe I'll end up missing it so much that I have to return. But at that point I'll have money, a house, maybe my girlfriend will even let me marry her by then!

Yeah, that's where I was. About 8 years out and too much time and money (as if there's such a thing). I got bored. I've been accused of having a short attention span, but the truth is that once I feel I've mastered something, I don't see the point in doing it anymore.

Looking to get into an art field now. Something along the lines of restoration or museum curator. Quite the flip-flop, but I guess I want to slow down. I think engineering made my brain sleepy.

I'm 27 and work as an account manager/inside sales for a control panel manufacturing company. Also a small business owner specializing in custom wood working, more as a hobby.

Just recently bought my first P car - 2001 Boxster S, 6 speed manual, from a family friend with only 20,000 miles in perfect condition. The seller even had the original IMS bearing replaced to a retro kit upgrade prior to me buying the car for this peace of mind. I have only owned the car for a little over a week and am loving it more each day.

Other Vehicles:
2012 Ford F150 Lariat
2011 Ford Edge Limited (wifes) when she doesn't steal the Porsche from me.

31, licensed professional engineer (mechanical design and industrial/mfg), I work for a large automotive company, also working on a part-time MBA at nights, but feel like I should quit the MBA and work on my car more since it is more fulfilling.

Retired. 67, I think. Time seems to move so quickly now I can't keep up.
