My son has used the plastic dip on the center console of his 2000 BMW 323ci. The console has a finish similar to the boxster and had a few scratches and marks. A few light coats of the plastic dip made a huge improvement.

If you use plastidip primer then it won't peel off.

I'll do it if it hold up well for at least a few months without starting to peel off.

I still have my original plasti dip on and it's still been holding up very well so far. There was one time where I had to touch up a part of one of the wheels, but besides that it's definitely enhanced the look at a cheap price.
